The first day of a new month
April was really busy, I’ve been learning about lower back pain management and neck and shoulder release techniques to help with easing tension and pain. I haven’t been posting much on my blog because I work full-time for a charity and I’m a bat surveyor too and bat season has started (keep the ‘batty’ jokes to yourselves please) so studying, working (x2) and running a massage business is a fair bit to juggle. The allotment isn’t getting as much attention as it needs either.
However, I’m cutting myself some slack. Sometimes there isn’t enough time in the day to do everything that needs to be done. Washing piles up, weeds grow and stuff doesn’t get done. AND THATS OK!
So, this is your reminder that not everything is urgent and important. Some things can just wait their turn until you have the time and energy to do them.
Instead I’m choosing to focus on what I have achieved in April.
I’ve finished two modules of massage study
I dug up the entire front garden and planted lovely shade loving plants to attract bees and pollinators.
I also tidied up the allotment and planted a bed of sun loving flowers (again for bees and pollinators) and I’ve started to reclaim the weed section at the back.
I also held down the day job.
I had driving lessons (it’s a long saga) and my test is really soon.
So, maybe when you’re berating yourself for not doing enough, consider for a moment what you have done and be really proud of yourself for those things.
Stay well and enjoy the sunshine.
