Anatomy and more anatomy…

It’s been a really busy couple of months. I had a great few days at Jing a couple of weeks ago practicing protocols around:

  • low back pain management,

  • shoulder girdle pain and

  • neck pain.

If you have issues in any of these areas, do get in touch and we can discuss how I can help you.

It was great reconnecting with fellow Jingers and meeting some new people too, being part of a community of dedicated massage therapists makes for a rich learning experience as we all develop our skills and massage persona.

Jing therapists are a really unique bunch of people, we are diverse, welcoming, open and completely non-judgmental. It’s always a wonderful vibe of positivity, respect and support that I haven’t often experienced in my ‘normal’ everyday life. The tutors Meghan and Rachel are astonishing individuals who are passionate, knowledgeable and incredibly patient with their tireless desire to pass on the Jing method to their students.

I’m focusing on getting my anatomy knowledge up to scratch along with specific protocols for specific types of pain and pathologies. It’s really interesting learning how the body connects, how muscles overlap and move together. It’s also fascinating learning how the Jing™ method works in terms of helping clients to connect to their bodies during a treatment. Massage using the Jing™ method also makes space for gentle stretching and mobility work during a treatment and for teaching clients some movements and stretches that they can do between massage sessions.

I’m starting to build my client base here in Rustington and if you have an issue with your neck, shoulders and lower back in particular, please do get in touch and book an appointment. You can book online, or email me at emmabarrettmassage@gmail.com to book in with me for a session.

See you soon!
