Booking and Cancellations
Booking can be made via the website or via message by email or by phone. Await confirmation from Emma to ensure your slot has been reserved. You confirmation email means that you the client have consented to the appointment and to these Ts and Cs.
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required by Emma to make a cancellation or a change to a booking. If you can’t reschedule and the appointment is less than 24 hours in the future, you will be refunded 50% of the full fee. All cancellations should be made via telephone (not email or SMS or WhatsApp) to ensure there is no confusion about the cancellation. Emma will send you a confirmation of your cancellation via email.
No shows will be charged the full booking fee with no refunds given.
If you are more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, Emma cannot lengthen your session to accommodate your timings, therefore your session will be cut short and finish at the agreed time. Emma may have clients immediately before and immediately after your session and therefore can’t accommodate last minute changes easily. The full session feel will still be payable and no refunds or partial refund will be offered.
Emma reserves the right to refuse appointments if client’s repeatedly are a no-show or are late or ask for last-minute changes or cancellations to booking times.
Health & Safety
All massages will take place on a massage couch provided by Emma Barrett. No other beds, chairs or other types of couches will be used.
Clients must disclose their weight if over 25 stone (159kg) in advance, to ensure the massage table or chair can be used safely and appropriately. This is essential for the health and safety of both the client and the therapist.
All clients must complete a personal details form which includes some information on medical conditions before the appointment takes place.
Emma reserves the right to refuse treatment to clients who:
Have an infectious illness on the day of the treatment.
Does not disclose a high-risk illness or injury prior to the appointment.
Disclose contraindications on the day, not already mentioned on their medical history form completed before the appointment, massage can be a risk in some circumstances and both client and massage therapist need to be safe.
Safeguarding
Any clients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will remain in the treatment room at all times during both consultation and treatment.
Vulnerable adults should also have a carer or parent or guardian present in the room at all times to ensure both the safety of the client and the therapist.
Client Conduct
Emma operates a zero-tolerance policy for inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to:
Sexual advances or suggestions.
Foul language.
Aggressive or disrespectful behaviour.
Emma reserves the right to refuse treatment, stop treatment and ask the client to leave at any point if a situation arises following inappropriate behaviour.
